Superhero Capital Newsletter: Spring Edition — The New Nordics in Motion April 2026

Investing in Tech Superheroes in the New Nordics.

Welcome back, Spring

Spring arrived (at least in a calendar) — and so did the results.

Q1 is done. Q2 is accelerating. The conversations got sharper, the portfolio kept moving, and the signal from across the New Nordics is clear: the builders who focused on fundamentals are pulling ahead.

This edition is about momentum: results, growth, and what’s next.

Let’s dive in.

🚀 New Investments Spotlight

Ounas Health team

🏥 Ounas Health Joins the Superhero Alliance

💡 We led Ounas Health’s €1M pre-seed round.

The team is building a new category in clinical insights, transforming fragmented clinical data into actionable insights that make care more seamless for healthcare professionals and patients.

🚀 Follow-on Investment:

TheStorage team

🔋 TheStorage has raised €3.6 million in seed funding

💡 We backed TheStorage at pre-seed, and we're continuing the journey in their €3.6M seed round, led by Voima Ventures, alongside 2C Ventures and Momentum.

Their sand-in-motion technology cuts industrial energy costs by up to 70% and emissions by up to 90% - with a live pilot already running. Excited for what's next.

🚨 Portfolio Exit

ŌURA Acquires Doublepoint

🤝 Doublepoint x ŌURA

💡 In 2021, we backed a small Helsinki team building gesture-recognition technology for wearables - long before the category had real traction.

In March 2026, ŌURA acquired Doublepoint, expanding the future of wearable AI.

🎤 When AI is the Baseline: Event Recap

Superhero Capital and Vendep Capital teams

On March 4, together with Vendep Capital, we hosted a breakfast session in Vilnius for founders preparing to raise in the next 6–12 months.

Aurimas Bakas (Copla), fresh off a Series A, joined us to share his learnings from the journey.

The core questions asked:
– What gets funded when AI is table stakes?
– Where does defensibility come from when everyone has access to the same models?

🦸 Superheroes in Action

Momentum across the portfolio - a few highlights from the past months:

🤖 Supernaut is live!

💡We invested in Supernaut before the product was public.

Now it's live - and on day one their AI teammate closed 15+ tickets, pushed commits, and opened pull requests before the morning coffee was finished.

Scale isn't headcount. It's leverage.

🛋 Mjuk hits €4.5–5M revenue

💡 Two founders who started knowing nothing about furniture now run a full-service circular platform with 7,000 items in their warehouse, shipping across 10+ European countries.

Profitability target: Q3 2026.

🚲 Vapaus expands to New Zealand

💡 First move outside Europe, launching as Northride. Despite headwinds from Finnish tax reform, the team adapted and went global.

That's what resilience looks like.

📰 Read more about the expansion.

🧠 Behavix partners with Fair Response

💡 Our portfolio company Behavix, announced a strategic partnership with Fair Response to expand its behavioral intelligence platform in the US, the world’s largest market research arena.

🎙 What 10+ Years of Backing Founders Teaches You

"You can't model what wins."

Our Founding Partner, Jakob Storå, joined the Perception Paradox podcast to talk about conviction, pattern recognition, and why AI is infrastructure - not a moat.

For those shaping - and funding - the next generation of companies.

🌊 On the Ground: TechChill Riga

Superhero Capital team (from the left): Ralfas, Zivile, Juha, Gytenis, Ivo

TechChill brings the Baltics together. We couldn't miss it.

Juha and Gytenis served on the jury. The founders we met had clarity, momentum, and global ambition from day one - exactly what we look for.

Juha and Gytenis also pulled off a last-minute dinner for VCs. No agenda, no slides. Just the kind of conversation that doesn't happen on a conference stage.

 📊 The Uncomfortable Math

NGL Angel Investor Masterclass by Gytenis Galkis (Superhero Capital)

Last month, our Partner Gytenis Galkis spoke to 50+ business angels at NGL Ventures in Vilnius and shared some data most people prefer not to say out loud.

→ 5% of Lithuanian pre-seed startups reach Series A
→ 1 in 50 make it to Series B
→ 0.5% of investments generate 50x+ returns

Angel investing is not stock picking. It's probability management. The math only works if you build a real portfolio, understand the power law, and back the right teams before the market catches up.

But there’s another side to the same data:

→ Lithuania raised €238M in VC last year
→ 5.9× ecosystem growth in 5 years
→ 5 unicorns
→ 46% of Baltic capital went to AI startups

The odds are hard. The opportunity is real.
