A Decade in the Making…

Today marks 10 years since Superhero Capital first came to life in Helsinki, we’re taking a moment to look back at how far this journey has carried us. What started with a small team of three investing in Finland has grown into a nine-strong crew backing founders across four countries in the New Nordics.

More Than the Numbers…

Over the past decade, we’ve reviewed more than 15,000 pitches, analyzed around 7,000 companies, and partnered with 64 teams, 45 of which continue to build the future with us today. We’ve launched 4 funds, each shaped by the lessons and momentum of the one before it - including our 2015 fund, ranked among the top 5% in Europe.

But the real story isn’t in the numbers - it’s in the founders who dared to build boldly, the conversations that sharpened ideas, and the ecosystem that has evolved alongside us. The New Nordics are more vibrant than ever, and being part of that growth has been the greatest privilege.

The Rise of the New Nordics…

Over the last decade, the New Nordics have grown into one of Europe’s most resilient and forward-thinking innovation regions. Lithuania’s startup ecosystem expanded 39x, Latvia strengthened its base of experienced founders and investment activity, Estonia continued building on its globally admired digital foundation with 100x funding growth, and Finland developed into a steady powerhouse with a tenfold rise in startup funding and economic output.

Together, these four countries have shaped an environment defined by steady progress, ambition, and a commitment to execution. It’s exactly why the New Nordics remain the focus of our work.

The Mission Continues…

And while today we’re looking back with gratitude and a bit of awe, we’re equally excited about what lies ahead. Ten years in, our hunt for the next generation of New Nordic superheroes hasn’t slowed for a moment. If anything, it’s only gotten sharper.

Founders who dare boldly, LPs who believe deeply, a team that brings the mission to life, investors who build alongside us, and a community that keeps pushing us forward - you’re the force behind this decade, and the reason its momentum carries on.
